Super Nintendo also known as SNES has helped have some of the world's best and original video games be created. Personally, Super Nintendo hosts most of my favorite video games of all time, and is possibly my favorite video game system of all time. Even though it lacks the excellent graphics and high definition picture provided by some of the newer consoles, Super Nintendo can provide so much fun for people of all ages. I have compiled a list of some of my favorite childhood Super Nintendo games, so here it is:
.) Super Mario World- This is one of my all time favorite games, and not just for Super Nintendo. The challenging yet fun levels make it tons of fun for all ages, and it has all my favorite characters included.
.) Super Mario All Stars- This game has all the old classics, including the original Super Mario's for Original Nintendo (NES). This game has so many games built into one, it can provide hours and hours of fun.
.) Aladdin- This is another one of my all time favorites. This game is a great replication of the movie, which helps make it more fun and realistic.
.) Super Mario Kart- This was the original Mario Kart game, even though most people remember the Nintendo 64 version. This is truly a classic and tons of fun, especially for multiplayer mode, similarly to the Nintendo 64 version.
.) Tecmo Super Baseball- Although this is one of the least recognized baseball games, especially for Super Nintendo( Ken Griffey Baseball probably being the most recognized) it was a gift to as a child, And I always had loads of fun playing it. This has to go down as one of my favorite baseball games of all time, especially considering it was my first.
.) Top Gear- This was my first real racing game, and for its time it was extremely realistic. This helped make the game even more fun, and multiplayer mode helped add to the fun as well.
.) The Lion King- This is another one of my favorites as a child, despite the fact that the game was very difficult. It was actually surprisingly difficult considering this game was made for children, but it was still a ton of fun trying to tackle the tough levels.
.) Double Dragon- Many probably believe this should be further up on the list, because it really is a classic game. This action fighter game was always tons of fun, but I wouldn't recommend it for very young children as it was a little violent.
.) Tom and Gerry- This game was also surprisingly difficult for a children's game. I never did make it very far past the first five levels or so, but despite this I always had tons of fun trying to play it, and having my friends try to help me.
.) The Jungle Book- This game was also a childhood gift to me, which is probably why it holds a special meaning in my mind. This game had some challenging levels as well, and I never did beat this game. Despite, it was tons of fun trying to figure out all the different levels and tricks to getting by different challengers, and it was always one of my favorites.
Although many may feel I left some of the "classics" out, this is just a list of my personal favorite childhood Super Nintendo games. Hope you enjoyed reading it.
