Surrendering your pet doesn't have to be your only option!
Pets and bonding is synonymous. As hard as you try, being emotionally detached from a pet is almost impossible. Therefore giving up a pet can be a very stressful time for both the pet and its owner. One can only imagine how the pet must feel when they discover that they are no longer wanted for whatever the reason. We as adults would be totally inconsolable, so one can guess how a pet would feel. There are a plethora of reasons for surrendering a pet and these can be due to financial issues, the birth of a baby, moving house, allergies, job loss, job commitments, the dog's poor behaviour or lack of time to give the pet the amount of attention it needs. There are several options and alternatives available for those thinking of surrendering their pets and this could save much heartache or anxiety.

Below is a list of the many reasons related to giving a pet up. Hopefully the solutions offered will aid you in your decision.

But don't give up your pet just yet, there are numerous pet loving people out there who are willing to help you keep your pet. In fact numerous people are willing to sponsor or become part owners of a pet. Nursing homes for the aged now see the benefits of pet companionship and sponsor pets on the agreement that the owners bring the pets to the nursing home for at least an hour a day.
Unfortunately too many pet owners get caught up with the hype about particular pet foods. Just remember that all pets were wild animals prior to human intervention. They fended for themselves eating whatever they could hunt or find. Pets can survive on the generic pet food just as well as they do on the status symbol pet foods. But
