Man is error-prone. Satan is ever-vigilant and loses not opportunity to seduce, pervert and mislead him. Since the times immemorial, there is a constant struggle between the forces of good and evils. Satan has been given a complete liberty by God to try to lead the people stray. Good, pious, virtuous and God-fearing people will never be tempted by the guiles and temptations of cursed Satan. However, If ever they commit a sin by mistake, God is the most merciful and compassionate. He is oft-forgiving.
To merit the kindness and mercy of God, we are all supposed to be sincere repentant. Tears of sincere and genuine repentance can wash away impurities from our hearts and our sins shed as the tree sheds its leaves. God loves his creatures to seek His forgiveness. If there is a mountain of sins, there is a flood of forgiveness, mercy and compassion.
A sinner is not supposed to be hopeless. He must remember that despair is sin. One must never be hopeless of the mercy and forgiveness of God. A sincere repentant with a firm resolve not to repeat the sins is sure or bound to be forgiven or pardoned by his Lord, who loves his creatures more than seventy mothers love their children.
A true and sincere repentant always tries to seek reformation after repentance. He is absorbed in self-reformation and self-correction with the help of soul-searching and self-introspection. He loves to be completely transformed personality. He wishes his past sinful life to be completely erased from his memories. His ardent desire is to be loyal to Lord and tries to compensate for his sinful life he passed in the past.
Given the fact the mercy of God knows no bounds, every sinner is supposed to make the most of His mercy and kindness by seeking repentance from His Lord. In order to make his repentance effective and worthwhile, he is required to take these following steps:
1. He must be sincere in repentance.
2. He must vow and pledge not to repeat these mistakes, blunders and sins.
3. He must have firm and unshakable belief in Almighty God and believe that He will sure pardon him.
4. After repentance, he should be completely changed and transformed personality.
with these steps properly taken, every sinner must be sure to be forgiven by his Lord, who is most merciful and most compassionate.
May God help us seek sincere repentance and transform our life according to our religious teachings to be successful in this world and in the Hereafter.
