Poetry: Blank canvas

by Beatrice Okorie

Created on: July 27, 2009

A blank canvas can be painted only if the mind is there

I can only imagine the canvas full of flowers

I cannot touch my brushes because they are not clean

I want to erase this dirt from my mind

A picture should be beautiful and unspoiled

A splash of paint here and a dot of paint there

A clean brush sits among the colorful brushes

I cannot paint because my mind is a blank
