Frozen
I'm standing here at the door,
Watching you walk away.
You ask me how I feel,
But what can I say?
You're starting the car,
Soon you'll be a cloud of dust on the road.
Will I cry,
When I'm alone?
No, crying is holding on,
And this is the end.
I'll do as always,
Just stand here frozen.
Then I'll return,
To this empty house,
Turn on my favorite show,
Block the memories out.
Maybe you'll stumble back,
Maybe you won't.
But if you do,
I'll want to be alone.
Coping with grief,
It's kind of my thing.
You'd be too,
You see.
If you were loved,
By Misery like me.
