Hating You
Hating you is easy
It's something that comes naturally
I hate you because you took my dignity
Something I had to fight to get back
Something, for so long
Very off track
You beat me to submission
But my soul was never lost
I prayed for you when I was bruised
Never gave up hope
I found God because of you
I am strong and able
The only thing I have left to do
Is to stop hating you
If I can
I will see the promised land
But the journey is long
The journey is tough
I've truly had enough
When I think I'm over what you've done
A mention of your name
Gets my emotions undone
I feel hatred overwhelm me
I look forward to your day
But I know I'll never gain forgiveness that way
So, for now
I pray
