Hip Hop is one of the street dances which emphasize body movements and rhythm. Hip Hop classes are a great fun but on the other hand involve hard work for becoming a good dancer in this form.
In about 1970's, many different types of moves and steps have had been created. So, you will find that after few dance lessons, you might experience many or even all of such moves and techniques.
How to find a Hip Hop class?
Before getting into the detail of how to find best Hip Hop class, it is important to see the age of your child. Depending upon the age, he/she will be put to that specific type of dance class which will suit them the most. Finding a Hip Hop class in your area is an easy job.
Of course you will have to do some research for finding the specific dance studios first. For this purpose, I think the yellow pages will help you in finding out. Next will be to call the respected dance studio and find about their dance class offers. Do they offer Hip Hop classes? If the answer comes out to be YES, then ask about the class time, price per hour and the other accessories needed. Do ask them about their web site if any. If you get the web site, check it first and see the whole details in order to check whether they are perfect for you or not.
Then, you can straight away visit that studio while a dancing class is being taken place. Have a thorough observation of that dancing class, and if you feel satisfied then just go for it. You may find studios offering the dance classes broken into two sections. The first section will involve the basic dance lessons; while the other teaching more advanced Hip Hop combined with other street dances so that you will be able to demonstrate the impact of Hip Hop on these dance forms.
It has been observed that you may not get any introduction from your dance instructor and will have to start straight away. The music is started, and facing the mirror, you will be asked to copy your instructor. But before learning the Hip Hop, many instructors will prefer to do some warm-up. They might do a jazz style warm-up so that the dancers get fully stretched.
Pre-Warm Up:
This is neither warm-up nor the dance lesson, but it may serve a number of functions. This loose activity for 5-10 minutes enables the class to be started off a bit late so that any of the late comers may join the actual dance class in time thus avoiding any disturbance to other students.
This will allow the whole dance class to settle down. This activity also gives a better chance
