Every Runescape player who plays the free version of the game will try to think of and seek a way to become a free member. Membership is hard for a number of free players because most of them are minors who lack a credit card and parents willing to pay the five dollar monthly fee. I was one of those players for a long time, but I found a way to get a membership whilst circumnavigating all the things that stand in the way of the folks out there who struggle to find "free Runescape membership." First of, there is no such thing. You cannot be a Runescape member for free, there is no way to get around paying in SOME form for your membership. If you're a member, Jagex is getting five dollars for it. It is just the manner in which you become a member that is important, just because you do not use a credit card or make your parents pay does not mean you are a free member. Also, anyone who says that they will maker you a free member if you give them your account information is a lying scammer. They WILL steal your account. This goes double for anything that asks you to download a file, because that could easily be a key logger or virus which will screw you over more than any account scammer could. Jagex will NEVER ask you for your account information, anyone who claims to be a Jagex member without the proper identifier (the crown next to their name) is trying to steal your information. With that, for security measures I highly recommend you set up some of the security features Runescape offers such as a bank pin and recovery questions. This could be your only safe guard in the event of a hack.

Now, onto becoming a member. Whatever you do on the internet is essentially you working for a bit of cash to pay for your membership. It is a viable option for anybody who has parents reluctant to pay the membership fee.

That particular site is the one I myself use and have had allot of success with it. I am a Runescape member because of it.
You do surveys, register for offers, and complete offers to gain "points". A Runescape card costs ten points, which should be relatively easy to get. I highly suggest you make an email address just for this site because you will recieve an unhealthy amount of spam. I also suggest you come up with some fake information that rings with validity. Such as a fake address, a fake name, and a fake phone number/mobile number. The average survey should take about five minutes to complete if done correctly. Stick with the middle range offers, the higher ones usually do not credit you and the lower ones take much too long. (.5 to 1 point offers).

Another way to become a member without using your credit card is having it charged to a phone bill, if you have a cell phone this is easy for you. On the Runescape homepage just find their number and sign up using the phone method. Using your phone, you will get a membership code from them. Once you get the code and enter it on the homepage, you will be a member. Easy enough right?

The final way I will mention is Helium.com itself. If you make a Paypal account (using REAL information, this is very important) and a corresponding Helium account, start writing articles about things you enjoy. Eventually, you will have the minimum number of dollars needed to collect your money(25$) and you can use that to pay for your membership. It is a long process, but becomes quite easy as the numer of your articles increases.
