This is a tough question to answer because the answer would depend on your beliefs. God could have been in heaven watching while being able to do nothing. There could also have been an entity in hell gloating, if you worship Satan. I believe God was right in New York within everyone's heart and soul. Events like 9/11 are the trade-off for giving freewill: the people have the ability to make the events of 9/11 possible. That day will live on in infamy. I remember the exactly where I was and what I did on that tragic day. Anyone who witnessed it or watched it on T.V.(Live) will never forget what they saw on September 11, 2001, and the days after. The spin was on top of 9/11 and where was God: Everywhere but on television.
When I woke up on that fateful morning of Sept. 11, 2001. The day was like any Norther Minnesota day at that time of year. Walking out of my room that morning was nothing new, except, when I entered the living room to find the events unfolding, Live, I became horrified. The only question that came to mind was, "what is happening and why?" It was obviously bad from the moment I lay eyes on the television screen. 9/11 was happening right in my home.
Live!
Replays, Replays, and footage of the ruin, that was the the first towerhit. It was like something out of a movie. The events of 9/11 are my Kennedy. I will remember exactly where I was and what I did that day, mostly because EVERYONE was talking about the attack profusely, at work, and on the street. People said,"How could this have happened?" "How could this have happened?" "Who is responsibly for this travesty?"
The news reels spun for months none stop. What disgusted me the most about 9/11 was the footage of the people jumping to their deaths instead of burning in the massive fires. Then the buildings collapsed. We stood hypnotized, in my living-room, as the T.V. kept the footage coming to us: LIVE.
Where was God during all of this commotion? Commotion is an understatement. The only reason I bring this up is because, the God of all understanding was right there with all whom were involved but could do nothing but console. I'll bet you money all involved prayed to whatever God they believed in and "He" was there for them. I prayed a lot for all of the people involved. There was nothing else for me to do as I was in Minnesota and I did not have much money to donate.
All the victims are seated in the Kingdom of Heaven, right Now. And the men and women that; fought the fires, cleaned the wounds, carried people to safety, and volunteered in any way possible, are Saints, and should be hailed as such. They were the Angels that became God's hands on 9/11. They helped, they saved, and we cried. The families and victims will not be forgotten around the nation and the globe. WE WILL NEVER FORGET was all over the newspapers and magazines. Patriotism was high in the days and months fallowing 9/11.
Emergency!
Sometimes I wonder how many people dialed 911 that day. But that would be irrelevant. I know for a fact that God was with everyone that day weather you believe or not. America was and is forever changed by the events of 9/11. Everyone who travels knows this all too well. The solders in The Middle East also know how much changed on that day. And the families of the victims are still being changed by 9/11. God was right where "He" needed to be that day: with the victims and their families. Weather it be on television or for real that you came into witnessing those tragic events you will most likely never forget what you saw. Most will likely remember for the rest of their days. God bless all involved, for all eternity, where ever that may be, God has always been here, and there, in all ways.
