Introduction
There are actually many websites that pay writers for articles. What writers may be unaware of, is that some of such freelance writing job websites only pays U.S. citizens. One of such example is eHow. Just to share some personal experience I had with eHow; I started using eHow and had wrote some 'how-to' articles before I found that it only pays U.S citizens. In order to help international writers to put their efforts where the money is, I have came up with the following list of websites that actually pay international writers for their articles.
List of websites which pay international writers for articles
1. Helium - This is probably the best 'get paid to write' website which offers freelance writer the opportunity to earn residual income from their published articles. In additionally, Helium also offers writers a chance to sell their articles online to magazine or publishers in its 'Marketplace'. International writers will get paid through PayPal as long as the individual account had accumulated $25.
2. Getafreelancer - This is a freelance job auction website where article buyers state what they want in their article for writers to bid for the job. After being selected, the writer will receive the agreed payment after the job is successfully accepted. This site actually pays through a number of online payment processors like PayPal, MoneyBookers and many more.
3. Flixya - This website actually pay users based on advertisement revenue sharing for their work. Flixya offers user the service to post photograph, picture, video clips and blog. Blogging with Flixya is extremely helpful due to the traffic going to this website. Use the blog feature to post your articles and see visitors swarming to your pages. Flixya uses Google Adsense account to pay users. As long as you have a Google Adsense account, you will be paid when the stipulated minimum amount is attained. Since Google Adsense pays internation users, international writers will be paid.
4. Bukisa - This website essentially works like Helium. It pays user based on the number of visits to the articles. Bukisa pays international writers via PayPal.
5. GroundReport - This website is a community journalism website which pay users to write localized news and reports. It pays international writers via PayPal.
6. Triond - A typically freelance writing job website that pays international users via payment. The most unique part about Triond is that it will pay users as long as the amount earned is more than 50 cents.
7. Associated Content - Similar to most 'get paid to write' websites, it pay users based on advertisement revenue sharing system. The more traffic to your articles, the more you will earn. What is most unique about Associated Content (AC) is the opportunity to get upfront payment for 'wanted' titles which are the topics. AC would state what topic they want and will pay you the stipulated amounted if your submitted articles are approved and accepted. Although Helium also offers upfront payment, it only extend this benefit to writers with 'writing stars'. AC pays international writers via PayPal.
