Contemplating the purpose of life has been done ad nauseum by philosophers for thousands of years. If you take a look and read through most philosophical and theological works they'll come up with various versions such as "to learn", "to grow", "to understand" or "to know god" or "to know thyself"...the list goes on.
I'm by no means suggesting that these answers are wrong. What I'd like to do is look at the answer to that question through the understanding of a new theory that has been proposed, a theory with stunning implications if true. Forgive me for not being able to find the name of the scientist that worked on this theory and the experiments that led him to this theory. I will add documentation to the end of this document if I am able to find it.
This scientist found evidence that, while material information travels forward in time, LIFE information travels backwards in time. That was the only way the scientist could explain the results of a number of peer reviewed scientific experiments he had performed.
If material information flows forward in time and life information flows backward in time, what possibly could be the implications for contemplations of the purpose of life?
I would propose that the forward flow through time of material information is a material journey of discovery. When someone asks you, "What is the purpose of life?", the very answer is in the question. The purpose of life is contemplating the purpose of life. So the forward flow of information is the material information journeying through existence in an attempt to find out from what it is made and why it exists.
The backward flow of life information might be considered an echo of the successful journey of material information to understand itself. Once that material information reaches to the point in the universe of complete understanding of itself and the entire nature of the universe, a complete and total omnipotence, the universe comes to a halt and does what it must do. It then sends it's life information back through the universe in an attempt to share it's knowledge with itself, backward in time.
Quantum scientists and physicists have already determined that there is nothing stopping a symmetry of time where information could flow backwards in time as well as forwards, and in fact scientists in the recent past had been surprised that they hadn't found a backward flow of time yet in their work. It's ironic that perhaps they didn't know that their very existence was dependent upon this very same backward flow of information that they could not find, but thought should exist.
My future self just told me I'm done writing this article.
