Is Love Real?

Is love real or just a dream,

A space in time when all things seem

Impossibly perfect?

Is love honest or do we close our eyes

and try to believe the deceit and lies

we tell ourselves?

Is love patient or do we wait

too long to stop the anger and hate

we feel inside?

Is love a feeling or something else,

an ability to sacrifice all of ourself

without hesitation?

Is she out there this ghost called love?

Unseen, unfound we all dream of

that moment.....

when.....

A simple thought, a smile, a wink.

A touch that's sought has made us think

that we know now.

Love is not only real, it is necessary

And we will seek it without fear

And with all that we are.
