Catching up with old friends...Do you have dear friends you haven't seen in years that you would love to see? When a person has been friends with someone at school, at work, neighbors, etc., and the two of you formed a close unique bond with each other, there's nothing more satisfying than an afternoon to catch up on their lives and to hear all about their families.
There's nothing more satisfying than being with a group of friends we haven't seen in years. It's so refreshing to see them and how well they have aged and to catch up on what they have been doing in their lives. Good relationships with friends are an important part of most peoples lives and they love to get with their crowd of friends and re-hash old times and to find out about other friends we haven't seen in years. Friendships are earned and we have to give of ourselves to receive friendship in return. Good friends never forget each other and regardless of the occasions when we get together, we feel a special bond we had with them years ago. This is what is called, "friendship love" and it is worth more than anything we can buy in our lives.
Most friends become like family to us and when we are separated from them because of transfers, new jobs, etc., and we do not get to keep in touch with them, it often feels as though we are missing an important part of our lives. They were a unique friend and we enjoyed being together and sharing our thoughts and our secrets with each other. When they leave and they are no longer with us, we feel totally lost without their close relationship.
Many people hate class reunions but I truly love them because it allows me to re-capture those memories of precious times we had with our friends in the classroom, sports activities, dances, plays and other unforgettable moments we spent together in our young years. When we get together with these friends, it allows us to find out what their futures have brought to their lives and about their children and other interesting things they have accomplished in their lives.
It's important in life to try and keep in touch with as many friends as you possibly can because those people meant something to you and shared a part of your life that you never want to forget. Friends are a wonderful group of people, and as for me, they become as family to me and it's great to keep the relationship alive.
