Poetry: Friendship

With each friend, comes a chance to learn something new.

Like transplanted strengths in myself, from old ones in you.

Like a mirror you helped me, become the best I can be,

And one day I'll be there, to show yourself reflected in me.

Your past and your present, your good and your bad,

Showed me to be strong, the opportunities to be had.

That our life is for living, for loving and forgiving,

And that one day I shall give to you, through the life that I am living.

Now I am stronger, - your gift - now I am more tough,

You showed me confidence, and how we can be enough.

That friendship is real, and love can truly exist.

True care between man, without care, blind to risque.

Yet it is better somehow, that it remains unspoken.

That we can always simply 'know' and take this rare token.

Of mirrored images from one each other, our counter-part in another.

So take care, you'll always be my friend, my role model and my brother.
