I'm getting lectured and taught, adapting to others needs,
Learning to feel, learning to control
These emotions that are ready to explode out of my soul,
I just don't understand why the world cant accept us people,
the way that we're built, why we have to be altered and split,
I think only she understands me, and I don't know whether I'm ready to give anyone else
the secrets that have been locked up inside of me, against my very will.
All i know is this, all i have to say is this,
People who churn out quotes, giving their words of wisdom,
To all those souls in need of guidance, in need of salvation,
Are hypocrites, spreading only what people long to hear,
Shunning away the reality that they've now come to fear,
and bringing themselves readily to the path of destruction,
losing the ability to love, their souls lost forever.
the souls of those who's mind's aren't corrupted,
have some hope yet, have a shot at reality itself,
what you should understand is this, its not the words in a poem that touch you,
its how the rhymes and rhythms take hold of you,
and the easiest path to salvation in this forsaken world,
is the path of knowledge, of wisdom, for once you know yourself,
you know the entire universe, and its secrets.
