We are living in an age of busy lifestyles that are full of non-stop activity, but the current economic situation is putting fear in a lot of people, forcing them to think seriously about how they spend money. One manifestation of that concern over financial security has pushed women to reduce the size of their wardrobes in very significant ways.

That being said, it has become necessary for all women to learn how to take a daytime outfit that may have been suitable for work and turn it into an outfit that is suitable for a night on the town, with very little effort.

Here are some suggestions.

*REMOVE THE JACKET -

A business suit, whether it be a skirt and jacket or a pair of pants and a jacket is usually the classic piece of work clothing. One way by which to change a day time look into a more sophisticated night time look is to wear an elegant silk camisole under the jacket. Take off the jacket and what's left is an elegant silk camisole.

As an alternative, change the blouse and put on an elegant silk blouse that ties as the smallest part of the waist. A sassy halter top can also be very suitable for night.

*THE BLACK DRESS -

A little black dress can double as a work dress and a dress that can be worn for a night on the town. Turn it into a more professional business outfit by wearing a structured jacket over it. Ideally, the jacket would be a neutral color so that it can be mixed and matched with many pieces in the wardrobe.

*SHOES -

A business outfit can be dressed up with a different pair of shoes. A pair of metallic stilettos, or any other elegant but flashy style shoe can provide a dramatic change with little effort. Some fancy snake or alligator skin shoes can also be very elegant.

*JEWELRY -

Instead of wearing more subtle earrings, consider something elegant, like an elegant pair of chandelier earrings. Alternatively, some big elegant dangles would dress up the outfit as well. An elegant necklace can also make a dramatic impact.

*A PURSE

A different purse can make a huge difference. A dressy clutch in gold or silver, can really change the look of an outfit. Any other type of evening bag would also work.

Turning a day time outfit that is suitable for work into an elegant outfit that is perfect for a night on the town doesn't have to be a complicated endeavor. A few small changes will quickly dress up a plain work outfit and turn it into a stylish and sophisticated outfit for an evening event.
