Finding one's way

Finding One's Way

In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, I so humbly ask that you show me my way home to you. The road I have traveled has been long, hot, cold, I have thirst for water but my thirst has not been quenched.

I know you are with me, I hear your warnings in that small voice. I walk in your grace without effort through my day, breezing down my long list of things to do, making a wrong turn to discover that beautiful sunset that you made just for me. Am I pleasing you Lord. How can I be at the right place at the right time to do that one thing that you have prepared me to do. There is no one else, will I disappoint you. I fear that I am not worthy of your love for me. I fight the spiritual battle of good and evil, I see that great power I wheeled. But here in the real world, I am a lowly servant. Keep me humble Lord.

Lord, you have blessed me with so much, how can be so ungrateful to ask for more.

The sweet faces that look to me and ask why? Can I tell them that it is to teach me patience, kindness and wisdom. I love you. I kiss their cheeks and wish them sleep, sleep with the angels, dream of their loved ones. When they go home to you Lord do they tell you that I have cared for them as you have tasked me. Do they remember me?

Lord, you sent me back because my work was not complete. I remember the joy I felt that day. Lord, there is so much evil here, the darkness is all around. It could be so easy to let pride, and prejudice to take control and judge their past actions and their worthiness. I praise the moments that you make yourself heard.

I am in awe of your completeness in my world. Lord, you have sent angels to help me in those moments that I am unable to do anything but pray. Let me see the path you want me to follow Lord. Take my doubt from me Lord, let me be fearless in the present of your enemies. I know my place is here Lord. How can I serve you more? What can I do to make my life acceptable in your eyes? Lord I have done so many things wrong. Please Lord forgive me. Teach me Lord. Thy will be done. Amen
