If you have patience and understanding then you are well on you way to building a healthy marriage. Don't get me wrong there are a lot more to it then that and that will be explained as I continue to give you the building blocks.

The first and most important thing for a man and woman to realize is this; if you married them for all there qualities then you cannot change them now. think about it you feel in love with them faults and all. Now if they picked up bad habit's along the way that you can not come to grasp with than you should talk those things through. In all circumstances there comes a time were we try to pick at every little thing our spouse does. If we stop and take a breath more than likely there is something bigger than that bothering us. We as women and man try to put blame on something. It is sad in most cases that we cannot take responsibility for our own misplaced feelings. We say everything that is wrong with them and even go so far as separating because we are not exactly sure were are misplaced blame should go. I will say this women are the worst when it comes to trying to reform the one we love. In the beginning those same quirks are what made them special. So quite trying to run away from something you definitely will not find somewhere else. In a year or two you would be saying you need to fix the other person as well.

Another important thing to remember is marriage is sacred. It is a wonderful thing that shouldn't always be tossed aside. If you are not being abused or mistreated than hold on to your mate. The Golden Rule Is The Grass Is Not Ever Greener On The Other Side!

The way to build a healthy relationship is to first and foremost be each others best friend. Good friends are hard to find but if you have that in your mate then there is no other like it. Secondly trust... If you can trust your partner then that also helps in the part about friendship. Talk to your mate share your dreams and aspirations and let them share there's without judgment. Plain lifelong goals and dreams together. Make sure you are fair in all things. Remember you are each others equal, you are the two half's that make a whole.

I know that if you keep the romance alive that is very important. You have to believe whole heartedly that your partners worth it. Make sure to surprise them as much as you can. It doesn't have to be expensive just heart felt. If you listen well enough to what your spouse is saying then you know what they missed out on. Thats
