The Restless Ghost quest is one of the easier quests on Runescape. It takes place in Lumbridge, the main city of Runescape, so for many players new to the game, it is one of the first quests they complete. It is open to both members and non-members. It does require the ability to defeat a level thirteen skeleton, but it does not require the completion of any other quests beforehand. The only supply that is necessary for this quest is an amulet of Ghostspeak, which is easily obtained in the quest.

This quest can be completed in twelve easy steps. They are as follows:

1. In Lumbridge, follow the path south until you reach the Lumbridge church. Enter the church.

2. Find and talk to Father Aereck. When you ask him if he has a quest for you, he will say that he wants the ghost that haunts the church graveyard to go away. You agree to help, and the Father says that his friend Father Urhney can help you.

3. Leave the church. Pass through the graveyard and into the swamp. Follow the dirt path along the coast to the mining spot.

4. Turn west and continue along the shore until you reach another mining spot. Now, turn north. You should see a small, isolated house.

5. Enter the house and talk to Father Urhney. Tell him that Father Aereck sent you. He will give you an amulet of Ghostspeak so you can communicate with the spirit.

6. Go back to the Lumbridge graveyard and enter the mausoleum. Open and close the coffin until the ghost appears before you.

7. Talk to the ghost (wearing your amulet, you should be able to understand it). He says that he is haunting the graveyard and can't rest in peace because a warlock has stolen his skull.

8. Leave the graveyard and follow the path up until the general store. Now, turn west on the dirt path and follow it until you reach a stone bridge.

9. Cross the bridge. The building at the end is called the Wizard's Tower. Enter the tower and go down to the basement.

10. Find the altar in one of the rooms and search it for the skull. Once you have it, a level 13 skeleton will pop out and attack you. You can stay and fight the skeleton, or simply run away if you don't want to or can't fight it.

11. Leave the tower, cross the bridge, and return to the Lumbridge graveyard. Talk to the ghost, and tell him that you've found the skull.

12. Put the skull in the coffin and the ghost will be able to rest. This is the end of the quest.

Congratulations! With only minimal effort, the quest is complete. As a reward, you get one quest point and 1125 prayer experience points. You also get to keep the amulet of Ghostspeak, although after the quest, there is not an opportunity to speak to ghosts again.
