What's it like losing a someone as close as a sibling? I can say it's excruciating. You know when they say "You don't realize how much you love someone till their gone" I found that out the hard way. On December 27, 2004 two days after Christmas and 3 days before my niece and nephews 4th birthday i lost my sister. My one and only older sister. She not only left a hole in my heart and she took a piece of my soul with her but she left behind two beautiful children which i now have to try to raise. Being 25 i believe it's been tough. The reason i hadn't had children was because i new i wasn't ready for them. Now it's been like a rude awakening. Learning each day as i try to become some what of a mother to them. It's kind of weird that when we go out people look at me and say your kids look just like you when i know that their not truly mine. The sad part is my sister used to tell them I was their mother. Like a profit almost knowing that she was already going to pass. It's been tough. It'll will always be tough. People ask does the pain ever go away. When you lose someone it never goes away. The pain, the anguish, the why not me. I tell them you never get over it, but you learn to live with the pain. You find out how truly strong you really are in the inside. You find out how much you can really take.
