Ahhh to be able to put my feet up and stretch out on the comfort of my own couch. The ability to control the volume as well, as pause when I want to pause the movie. Oh and my wallet loves the simple fact that I didn't pay ten dollars for a movie ticket, then another ten dollars on snacks.

I have pretty much always felt this way regarding going to the movies. I have always preferred to be in the comfort of my own home. Not because I am cheap or anything like that. I have been in the movies when you get that rude movie goer who has to talk too loudly, or laughs non stop even when it isn't particularly funny, or how about the person who finds it necessary to receive phone calls while in the theater. I don't really understand that. I also don't understand why some people have to be rude and start throwing their snacks this is more aimed at the younger population of movie goers and then there is usually some kind of altercation, yes this has actually happened.

Aside from the price of the movie ticket, how about the excessive price of snacks. I really do not understand the mark up on the snacks and drinks. Yes I understand you have to make a profit but, honestly how much of a profit does anyone industry need? Snacks are probably four times more expensive then what you pay to buy that same snack at the grocery store.

Now aside from the snack prices my other issue is comfort factor. Nothing is more comfortable than being on my own furniture stretching out and relaxing. I have full control over when the movie starts, pauses, and ends. I have full ability to get up to get a snack or not if I so choose so. I have the ability to go use the bathroom without having to wonder what I missed. If the phone rings I have caller ID I can pause the movie and take the call if I so wish to do so or I can choose to ignore it. If I am watching a movie with a date I can get up close and snuggle without the inconvenience of the arm of the chair getting in the way of my snuggle factor.

So my personal opinion is I would much rather watch a movie in the comfort of my own home with my own snacks, the ability to control when it starts and ends. I like that I can control the volume, and I don't have to pay a fortune to watch a movie that might get interrupted by another movie goer or the possibility that I have to use the restroom.
