Making things better is not a strong point of politicians. I highly doubt the US politicians will make good healthcare changes because politician's only concern is deception and delusion to purchase enough votes to gain, or remain in, power. Americans should pay careful attention to the many failures of our Canadian healthcare system, so they do not copy them.
In Canada the medical community has a monopoly so have become arrogant and unconcerned with providing any quick quality of care to people, and have a lack of concern with the laws as well. Our medical system is not only broken but abusive, and way too many people are needlessly suffering and even dying because of the many failures of our healthcare system.
Yesterday the Royal Victoria Hospital had the police pick me up and then threatened to make me disappear because I have dared to speak out about and challenged their abusive ways. I was told that I wouldn't even be allowed to plead my case before a judge, and that they could hold me as long as they like.
The psychiatrist said he thinks I'm intelligent and not crazy but that they (he) would say that I am, if I won't agree to do exactly what they demand. I have no family to notice my disappearance and the only person I associate with would not pursue my disappearance, so this can be easily accomplished.
RVH has casually broken laws in actions against me in the past and proven they can have the police pick me up any time they please, so I have no doubt they can and yet make me disappear into their psychiatric system because I will not shut up and go away simply because they threaten to make me disappear "Canadian style".
Our medical people think they are the ruling dictators and the citizens simply living dummies to be used as they see fit. If you want to be casually abused and to not be allowed to make your own medical decisions, then just copy our failed system as it is.
Our government is currently babbling about our system being successful because it is cheaper then the US system, but a broken down car that doesn't work is cheaper to purchase than a functional one that simply needs an oil change too. More people need to have better access to medical care but simply having the taxpayer pay the bill, as proven here in Canada, is not a solution.
