Hydrocodone is a prescribed medication which is used for pain. It is sought after by people who abuse medications,which is making it even harder on people who actually need these medications to control true pain! It is given by prescription only and only a physician or a dentist can prescribe it. I know someone who has to take it every day to control pain caused by Multiple Sclerosis, who truly needs it.
I once was prescribed this for an impacted tooth which was causing severe pain in my jaw and lots of headaches. I took one, and instantly began to throw up after having 4 of my teeth pulled. I'm lucky I didn't have dry socket.
This medicine contains aspirin and codeine,which I found out I am allergic to both. I also started talking to people who I knew were not in my house,I had to call off work because I thought I was having hallucinations. The person I mentioned earlier has to take several of these a day,and I think it is a shame that there are people out there that fake pain to get ahold of medicine,they are hurting the people who truly need it. My friend has to go to the doctor every month to be evaluated because of people like that,and for him to be in a car for almost an hour both ways it is true torture.
