What can one say about their views of society and academics when they have gone to eleven different schools in their lifetime. Not only have my educational view differed, but my social views differed as well. Different schools teach things in different ways. And moving all the time, without knowing when you're going to move next, doesn't really teach you to thrust yourself into society right away. Especially when your friends that you happen to have made in the past never keep in touch.

The first time that I can remember moving, we moved from Missouri to New London, Connecticut. I don't remember much, except that I seemed to make friends easily. The stories I heard my parents and family tell were that I seemed to be the rambunctious one in school. I was always eager to try something new and never afraid to help anyone with anything that they had trouble with. I do remember never being afraid to ask anybody for help. Nathan Hale Elementary was the place that I made all of my friends. I did have one friend from my neighborhood that went to a private school in the same city. When my family moved from New London, I was devastated. I had never been away from my friends for longer than a summer, but now I was to move. I never kenw what any other school was like, either. 'Would I fit in?', 'Would I make friends there?', these were the questions that I was asking myself and my parents as we moved from Connecticut to Missouri.

All of the students and faculty of the school were nice to me and helped me through my moving experiences, but I seemed to have gotten quieter than usual. Throughout that year, and every year since, my teachers have always had one common complaint about me. I never talked enough in class. I'm not really sure what happened because I remember joining the ffGirl Scouts that year and being very active and outspoken in their activities.

One year after we moved to Missouri, we moved again. This time to Union, Nebraska. It was a really small town. My guess would be that no more than three hundred people lived there, probably a lot less. There were only two kids that were my age in this town,
