Skies of Amber

When I think of days gone by,

and watch the clouds all fill the sky,

It takes me backwards in time,

when I knew things would be fine.

The roads were bumpy and hard,

while driving to Texas in my car,

watching double rainbows in the sky,

missing your birth just makes me cry.

I recall the long race against time,

when God's gift was partially mine,

and though I had no claim to you,

over the years my love for you grew.

Though many moments have gone by,
