Elegance is the theme at the Liberty House Restaurant, a fine dining experience overlooking the Hudson from Liberty State Park, with a perfect view of the bejeweled New York Skyline and the majestic Statue of Liberty. The second story of the Liberty House Restaurant is the magnificent Grand Ballroom that can host dinner and dancing for 130 to 350 guests, up to 300 with buffet, and cocktail parties that can accommodate up to 550 guests. Vaulted 30-foot ceilings accommodate any style of decor from sweeping drapes of tulle for a wedding reception to hanging balloons or other ornamentation. Class walls open out to the wrap-around open-air terrace on which guests can adjourn to enjoy cocktails and the beauty of the New York skyline at night.

The Liberty Room, located on the first floor, is filled with floor to ceiling glass windows and French doors that lead out to a tented pavilion and an elegant outdoor garden reminiscent of English gardens is complete with a large scale chess game ready for play. The Liberty Room is suitable for sit down dinner and dancing with 75 to 130 guests, 75 to 110 if using a buffet setup and dancing, or up to 225 guests at a cocktail party.

Looking for a intimate seating for a small party? Then the Liberty House Restaurant has the perfect setting within its restaurant. The Gallery provides private seating and skyline views for groups of 15 to 40 guests.

Or you can invite your friends along on a chartered yacht. The 97' Valiant is complete with five spacious state rooms, wood paneled bar and enough space for parties of 2 to 87 guests. Perfect for those exclusive parties that demand the added touch of class.

Reviews on Liberty House Restaurant range from one to five stars, with most of the lower reviews I have seen being in reference to the staff being overly busy at wedding events.

While City Vino is actually a wine house, it has a very fine lunch menu that makes it a wonderful place to enjoy an afternoon lunch and glass of find wine. Based on their lunch box specials (sandwich + soup + salad + soda for $14.50) I am going to classify their menu as probably falling in the average range on prices. Food includes entrees such as sandwiches (including shirt ribs on a roll) to duck legs served with herb-roasted fingerling potatoes and honey truffle sauce. Their menu truly needs to be admired before you go so that you know what to expect and can plan ahead for a wonderful experience.

The reviews I have seen bill this as a must go place to eat, even if you need to go out of your way to get there.

The name of this restaurant caught my attention, then the reviews held it. Located within the Newport Westin Hotel in Jersey City, the Fire & Oak is billed as a very find restaurant with reasonable prices ($15 to $25 for dinner). The website includes menus that include the prices.
