Looking in your eyes I see
A reflection of what I can be
The chance to hold my head with pride
A beauty that I've hid inside
I see what dominance truly means
The quiet strength that holds my dreams
A caring, soft and gentle touch
From power that demands so much
I see the safety that stills my fear
The energy that draws me near
On my knees it pulls me down
I hold my breath, make not a sound
I see wisdom,passion, I see fire
All I need all I desire
I see the beauty after rain
The chance for me to live again
I see protection, feel no alarm
I seek sanctuary in your arms
A power that I've never known
And yet with you I'm safe at home
I see a lover, I see a man
Fulfilling me as no one can
Demanding all that I can give
I cease to exist, and start to live
Your strength balances the weakness in me
Your control re-opens and sets me free
Knowledge and guidance I see in You
Honor that stands firm, remains true
I see trust, friendship, appraisal and grace
Discernment, yet of judgment I see no trace
I see the one to whom I belong
Knowing you would never do me harm
A man like God intended him to be
With patient firmness he handles me
My one need sent from him above
I look at You....and I see love.

Once Upon Myself
Walking alone in the darkest light,
Something distant caught
I catch glimpses of you...
Through windows boarded and shuttered
In your fear and misery
I hear your voice echo
Down
What is lost, what is gained
As our years now near the end?
Plan for tomorrow, not beyond
No future 'round the bend
Dreams

People often wonder how and why I write.
They say, "I didn't know you could write like that!"
Others say, "You wrote me
