Phuckin' Awesome. I'm making a review because the rest of those idiots who writes the music columns are a bunch of w*kers. They said that the album was a disappointment, that it wasn't as good as they were expecting. But its as every bit perfect as the Red Hot Chili Peppers' older albums. Its an album that grows on your butt so much, the more you listen to it, the more you appreciate it, the more the music reaches your heart. If a sh*tty old band of today (say my chemical romance who sucks ass compared to Red Hot Chili Peppers) released an album thats merely close to this, they'd probably worship that band now, and create a shrine at every corner of each block in the country, but since its the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they expect nothing less than ultimate perfection at first glance. How stupid. Now, on to the album, I'm going to stop verbally abusing those columnist, even though they deserve every bit of it.
The first CD is awesome. Its so... classic. it just that you know. Remember in By The Way and Californication? Dani was mentioned. "dani the girl is singing songs to me beneath the marquee", well Dani California is meant to be the conclusion of her story. I have no idea whether she's a real person, based on real people, or someone Anthony might have made up. But that's an awesome Track, Snow is awesome, theres a long story to that which you should just read yourself. and its just perfection to the max. I listened to this CD for hours on end, for days, for weeks. It's the latest album that had put a smile on my face, when i sit there on the floor, staring at Keidis, Flea, Navarro (i don't have Frusciante in that poster) and i just lay there listening to the album with a hat on my face, absorbing every word and every note the Chilis had to offer. It made me happy.
The second CD is the raw stuff. Raw music, Raw rock n roll, Raw Red Hot Chili Peppers. Its almost like Frank Zappa Revolution with Red Hot Chili Peppers. How much more raw, and how much more perfect do you want music to be? it can't get any better than this.
At first, i thought the 1st CD is better, but now i see that neither discs can hold up without the other, of course it will still be a good album, however it will be different, it won't be Stadium Arcadium. I even had a light debate with my friend. i said to him that "the first disc is better, and the double album release was nto the best idea". He said to me, "Well, you obviously haven't listened to it enough if you still think that". He told me that neither discs will make it as an album on its own. I disagreed then, i agree now. Proves the point that this album grows on you.
Red Hot Chili Peppers have inspired and put smiles on people's faces since 1984, until now 2006. Red Hot Chili Peppers, 4 of the best musicians around, have lived through 2 decades, and they have yet failed me by their music.
Stadium Arcadium. Buy it.
