Scene:

The living room of Wynema Crammer. Evelyn McCall and Julie, Wynema's daughter, have been going through clothing and other things all morning. Several boxes sit on the floor around a stroller for twins, with Evelyn's daughter's asleep inside. Evelyn is folding a dress and as she puts it into a box sitting to her right, Julie enters stage right carrying several clothes still on hangers.

Julie: I think this is finally it. (She sits on the chair opposite Evelyn, laying the clothes across her lap) I've gone through every closet and dresser in every room and there isn't one piece of clothing anywhere.

Evelyn: (Laughing) You said that close to an hour ago.

Julie: I don't think I realized what a clothes horse Winnie was. (She laughs)

Evelyn: Clothes horse or not, you only saw her in two or three dresses most of the time.

Julie: I know! What was up with that?

(There's a crash from above. Both women look up)

Julie: They've been so quiet up there; I almost forgot the boys were going through the attic.

Evelyn: So did I. Well, no one is screaming for an ambulance.

Julie: I truly don't know how long it's been since anyone has been up there. I was, about a year ago and pulled down an old trunk for Winnie. I've always had it my head to get up there and do some sorting, but I never did.

Jimmy: (Calling from off stage) Ma! No one was hurt; we knocked over a couple of boxes!

Evelyn: Thank you! (She glances at the strollers) I swear, they sleep through everything. (She looks at Julie) Everything but the toaster.

Julie: (Laughing) The toaster!

Evelyn: I had
