Things to do in Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville, TN

Located near the state capitol in Nashville, Tennessee, the Bicentennial Mall encompasses over 19 acres. The Bicentennial Mall is a venue for a complete timeline of Tennessee history and is full of knowledgeable park rangers who have scheduled programs at various points throughout the day to educate visitors on the rich history of the Bicentennial Mall and Tennessee.

Concerts are performed in the amphitheater at scheduled intervals. A complete listing of upcoming performances can be found on the Tennessee State Parks website. A meeting room is available for conferences and business use. Use of the room is free and is limited to 30 occupants. Picnic areas are abundant at the Bicentennial Mall. The tables are located underneath the train trestle and cannot be reserved. These tables are available on a first come first served basis. There is ample parking for tour buses and large groups are welcome.

The Farmers Market is filled with multiple vendors serving foods from various ethnicities. It is located near the mall which makes a nice resting place to refuel while visiting the mall. The historical features of the mall are very informative and educational for adults and children alike. The Bicentennial Mall hosts an annual Tennessee History festival each October. This event is widely publicized and is filled with entertainment and education. There are vendors and seminars and role-playing events. This is an excellent way to learn a bit about Tennessee.
