Poetry: Crime

by Paul Roberts

Broken glass on the living room floor,

scattered pictures and mangled door.

Missing jewelry and a TV,

stereo is gone with all the Cd's.

Crime has come into this home,

feeling of violation cuts to the bone.

Somewhere out there the perpetrator is free,

not caring at all what he has taken from me.

Unabashed hatred fills my veins,

I must surpress and put my life back together again.
