How to volunteer

by FA

Volunteering is a must for all citizens. By volunteering, you are able to help improve your local, national, or global environment. Many organizations and individuals look for volunteers every year for different types of projects.

Some organizations to volunteer include the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. To find other organizations to volunteer work, you can surf the Internet. Another way is to network with families and friends.

Don't forget to check with nursing homes, day care centers, hospitals and even the homeless shelters. It is important to give back to the town you live in as well.

Volunteering can be done individual by helping your elderly neighbor, or diving someone around to do errands, and even keeping your property litter free.

Not sure where to start volunteering? Start by asking what are your interests. See if you can find organizations or local establishments that need that a volunteer with that kind of interests, or inform your network that you have these kinds of interests and you are willing to volunteer in that area.

Volunteering opportunities are endless.
