Articles you should consider adding to Helium

by Cody Hodge

Created on: July 20, 2009

When you are writing an article for Helium, you have to ask yourself some questions before you really can determine if the article is worthy or not. What kind of article are you writing, and what value is it going to add to the community, and to the readers who are going to want to read your article to learn a thing or two. Does your article address anything in particular, or do you just want to write it to hear yourself talk? If you don't think that the article adds anything to the community, or doesn't add value, don't submit it until you feel like it is a good addition.

There are many types of articles that you can submit to Helium. There are the knowledge based articles, or the articles that you will write just for the sake of people trying to learn something. These are the types of articles that ask the question of how to, or will cover a topic that might be a hot topic in the world. Maybe you will write about the Middle East, or about the history of the Boston Red Sox. It will offer some information about a topic, and it should be a neutral telling of just the facts of the matter. No opinions needed for those articles.

However, that doesn't mean that there aren't any spots available for those who like to mix it up a little and offer some opinions. There are debate articles that allow you to voice your opinion about an issue. Whether you like the Yankees over the Red Sox, or the democrats policies on health care as opposed to the republicans, you can offer your opinions here. Be nice, and still remember to offer facts to back up your arguments, but you can be a little more biased in a debate.

There are some articles that offer advice, and some tips on how to get by in life. Whether it be an article telling someone how to spend money more efficiently, or how to break up with a girlfriend, you want to be able to have some advice to give in these articles. Make sure that the advice you give is sound, and is something that would be of value. No weird theories, or advice that would end up with someone going to jail please.

There are so many different types of articles on Helium that you will never run out of ideas. The great thing is that you are always able to suggest a title if you don't see something that you wanted to write about. Just remember that you want to display the facts of the matter, and you don't want to belittle anyone in your arguments. Be courteous, and write a good journalistic piece, and you will be just fine when submitting to Helium.
