Making a passive income from online writing is entirely possible for anyone with sufficient writing ability. It is not an overnight process and it will almost certainly take a bit of time to build anything like a respectable or useful level of income but with the required knowledge, dedication and application, a writer can build a level of passive income from their writing online that will continue to pay them in the longer term.

There are a lot of money making scams advertised on the Internet. Anyone who browses the Internet on a regular basis will see them, promising thousands or more in the short term. Making a passive income from writing online will not generate such sudden wealth but if the writer writes to the right sites, they will soon find that the process is by no means a scam and that the income they can generate is very real.

Helium pays its writers in several different ways, depending frequently upon how prolific they are in writing to the site and how successful their articles are which appear on the site. One way in which it pays its writers, though, is related to the number of page views which the articles receive. This means that a well written article, loaded with quality keywords and well promoted around the Web by the writer could begin generating a level of income almost immediately. Clearly, the more quality articles the writer writes for the site, the more passive income they are likely to generate in this respect.

Bukisa is another article writing site which pays its writers a passive income in the form of royalties. This is the only way in which Bukisa pays its writers, however, and the income generated is directly related to the number of unique page views. On the home page of the site, the Bukisa Index will be displayed and this is an amount of money which will be paid to the writer per one thousand unique page views. Promoting Bukisa articles effectively is therefore essential if respectable passive income is to be generated.

Associated Content pays its writers in a number of ways as well but those not resident in the United States should be aware that the only way in which they can generate revenue is from the number of page views generated. In this respect, the system is very similar to Bukisa's.

These are but a sample of the sites on which a writer can make passive income from online writing but are all extremely user friendly and represent a good starting grounding. The writer has to remember, however, at all times that they must never sacrifice quality for quantity in terms of their online writing or their passive income is likely to dry up considerably or even altogether.
