IT Hurt

It hurt the day I was told that you were dying.

The pain of almost losing you the day you were born;.

It hurt knowing your life will be short.

It hurt the first time you seizure;

The rag doll you came in my hands;

The pain of seeing you put on life support,

I wasn't sure that I could take much more.

God Blessed me giving me eleven years,

It hurt, hearing that your life was coming to an end on the day before Thanksgiving,

I could see that you were getting tired.

I knew that the Lord was looking down and saw you slowly wasting away.

It hurt on Christmas Day when you were saying good - bye.

I knew that soon you will be gone.

I had hope that you would get stronger but I was wrong,

It hurt, it hurt when I woke and you were gone on New Years Day.

I knew that you tried to say good- bye so many times,

But I would not hear of it.

I know today you rest with no pain .

Good -bye my baby girl, I see you in the morning.
