Blogging can be a lot of fun for everyone. However, like everything in life, there is also a negative side to blogging.
If you start blogging too much, then your life will be affected in a negative way. Firstly, blogging for a long time is bad for your eyes. Staring at a computer screen for ten hours every day will make your eyesight really weak, and you will have to spend extra money on getting your eyes tested. This can get very serious. If you constantly stare at the screen, then you can even develop a severe eye condition.
If you blog too much, then you will not go outdoors, and that can lead to depression. People who sit at their computers for the whole day are also at a risk of being obese. Addicted bloggers often feel like blogging for the whole day, and don't spend time exercising or eating a healthy diet. You may start eating unhealthy foods and ruin your health. Foods with high fats can also cause stress and anxiety. You might start to feel irritated and get annoyed over little things.
Your relationships will suffer if you don't spend a lot of time with your family. Although, most people blog from home, they are still not able to do much at home, if they are addicted bloggers. Relationships are very important in life. All types of addictions can harm your family relationships. Blogging can also become an addiction.
Many people think of this as a joke, but it isn't. Addicted bloggers may lose interest in talking to real people, if they get too involved on the computer.
Too much blogging about your life or a subject can also reveal your personal identity to the world. This can have many negative effects. People may start sending you spam in your e-mail and start stalking you in real life.
Revealing too much on a blog can lead to many things. There are people who on the Internet that will try hacking into your computer, if you are online the whole day. They look for unsecured wireless networks, and most bloggers have these. The hackers will be able to steal all your financial information.
Blogging for long periods of time can also injure you. One of the leading problems in regular typists is the carpal tunnel syndrome. If you develop this syndrome, you might never be able to blog again in your life. There is also a risk for permanent damage to your lower back and your neck. All these are very sensitive areas of your body, and if you injure them, then you will become useless for any work.
Be smart, and balance your life! Excess of everything is bad.
