I have been a seller on Ebay Motors for several years now. I am a Powerseller as of a couple of months ago. I'm not an extremely high volume seller but I usually keep about 70-80 listings at a time. I started selling by just browsing through the junk I had lying around. Everybody has some things just laying around that they will never use. I gathered up all of my old stuff and started listing. My goal was to take the things I no longer needed and turn that into money. Once those sales were complete take the profit and reinvest it into more items to sell. Its best to find a good lot of items for one price. Most people just want to get rid of the things they don't need for a little extra cash. You can take the time and list these items separately and make much more. Its risky to spend all of your initial profit on one item. This will tie up your funds until the item is sold. It could also not be what you expected to be or it could have been damaged in shipment. Unless you can get your money back you are back at the beginning. A good place to find things is your local ad papers. Local items don't have the same demand that you will find on Ebay so its possible to make big profits this way. Example: I purchased a set of Mercedes C-240 wheels for 100.00 and sold each wheel for over 100.00. That resulted in a profit of around 350.00. It is good to specialize in one type of item at first. Once you have gotten to know your products you can move on to other items. The first items I started selling were musical items. It was fairly easy to find random lots of these items on Ebay. Its a good feeling to take 15.00 and turn it into 100.00. The basic theory will always remain the same. Take what you have and turn it into more. No matter how small you start with the right attitude you can grow your business as large as the effort you place into it.
