Love is the greatest thing in the world; it brings joy and tears to our life. No man can survive in a world without love as it gives hope and meaning to life. Without love, the world cannot continue to exist. We celebrate life as much as we celebrate love - Mother's day, Father's day, Children's day, Teacher's day, Valentine's Day, and etc., showing our appreciation and love for them. Love is all around and it is indeed a wonderful gift from god.

In the realistic modern society today, love is no longer simple and pure. People can fall in and out of love like changing clothes, fall in love with the wrong person at the wrong time, fall in love because of certain motive that will benefit them. Stories of adultery are widespread and divorce rates are higher than ever. The abuse and misuse of love is common these days; are we losing hope to search for true love in this big and sophisticated world out there? What is true love? Different individuals have different viewpoints about true love and it is quite unexplainable.

Falling in love usually happens unexpectedly and loving someone should not harbor any agenda. Feelings and attraction are essential in order to fall in love with someone. However a true love cannot survive solely on feelings and attraction as it will fade off easily. It takes more for love to be true.

True love is about sharing every single moment, good and bad times, past, present and future dreams and hopes, sexual desire, emotions, material possessions, and practically everything single detail of our life with someone we love.

True love is about trust and commitment. Love is true when we know our partner is committed to spend the rest of their life with us, trusting our partner will stay faithful to each other. With the sense of trust and commitment, we will feel peace, harmony, stable and calm.

True love is about acceptance, understanding and respect when we see flaws and weakness in our partner. We accept their looks, wealth, health and everything about them, respect their limitations and shortcomings and understand from their perspective.

True love is about giving when we unconditionally give our time, patience, wishes and sacrificed everything we can to protect them, make them feel secure and not being calculative about how much we have given up for them

True love is about letting go. Love hurts when it is lost; it took great courage and pride to let go of someone we love, so that they can be happier elsewhere. True love shows when we selflessly place our partner's need in front of ours and assures them that they can still turn to us even when we lost them.

True love is about forgiving. A relationship is put to test when our partner had done something that hurts us terribly especially betrayal. Everyone has different views on betrayal. The feel of pain, anger and sadness will tear us apart; however, when we start to find an answer deep in our heart, knowing that if we can forgive our partner despite the pain we suffered, it because of true love.

Without Love, the world will be a lonely place to live in and it will never be what it is today: a world full of love, bliss and happiness.
