LEAVES FROM MANY TREES

At the age of twelve, it came with a deep blue, almost leathery cover. A prize (at school,) for knowing all the books names - between this One Book - handed to me; and I could hardly believe it was mine.

It didn't matter what others thought or felt as it became so worn and tattered over time. Carted around the world and streets called life; here was a whole library - gathered fragments from of writings, which became books with their own names - but like today; some authors could be more interesting, in the way they wrote. Just like a good book, one could get so involved in, it was hard to put down.

Many things could leave one able to identify with; or see it for what the writer tried to say. Though at one stage - when lost what to do - it scored a new cover to hold it together. Inside each cover a chosen picture to cover the worn patches; and in pride of place - before even King Jame's Majestic declaration - a memorial tribute from the local paper. One about an angel called 'my Mum', who died when I was 18; and she was 42.

There was every subject under the sun; from love stories to hate; from parental problems with their kids to family love. Lust, murder, thrillers, all bound into someone's history, just like autobiographies, and to reports made from an out-sider scribe. From exotic to the intrigue; tyrants and villeins, deceivers and truth seekers; right through to any refugees journeys. Floods, fires, famines, and destructions of places long gone, and some still where they stood. While others lay below sea level now. How did we of the West, become so untangled with the East.

Records from the start of those who (Quote,) 'came down to earth' (from where?) and 'made wives of the daughters of men'. We have records of Elisha, a prophet, who 'raised a child from the dead'; among other miraculous stories, which like everything in the Bible, we believe or we don't. Where even Jesus demonstrated so many centuries; maybe millenniums later. Magical, mysteries of a wonder worth remembering to record.

Of Teachers who taught how to create extremely scientific technology - from something as large as the Ark of Noah to the to so-called 'breast-plates' of communication. Genetic selection, health and agriculture; through to the real meaning of how to live in peace also on planet earth! All, according to exact instruction. So who were these who instructed? If right from the start, the first-born Son of Adam, not only found himself a wife
