Worlds Away
Her face I see as it echoes in me
Her pain and her fear blatantly evident as I watch it appear
She hides and masks the pain with quick talking that's a strain
How so desperately I want to help her regain
We are worlds apart
But she remains most prevalent in my heart
I want to wipe her tears and brush away all her fears
But we seem to always remain worlds apart
I wonder if she knows
That my love for her is at the very core of my beating heart
Lately she struggles to see
The visions that I know will set her free
All I want is to see her happy and filled with glee
A peace that surpasses all understanding
An inner love and respect is what I long to detect
Yet we remain worlds apart
I see and talk to her just about every day
But what I really want is to just make all her pain go away
My heart breaks as I witness her struggles
Inside I feel sad and hopeless
But I have to keep trying to make her see
How beautiful and special she is
To both herself and to me
Worlds apart is what we are
We are so night and day
So living separate lives here across the bay
But our hearts remain intertwined
Because until I die though we are worlds apart
I will forever keep her centered at the core of my heart
My baby sister she will always be
A precious and beautiful woman in her I still do see
I pray that our worlds will collide
And God's grace and mercy will bond us close
And nothing will be left to hide
Beacuse worlds away I no longer want us to be
I dream of the day that we just hang out and laugh sipping a nice cup of tea
