Using faith as a means of curing low self-esteem

Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is the perfect avenue for conquering low self esteem. It causes us the focus on the assurance of the things we hope for and to believe the evidence of things we do not see.

Psalm 8: 3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.

Low self-esteem takes away the ability to see ourselves through the eyes of our heavenly Father. It is a mindset that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ and places a limit on who we know our God to be. It takes the control from his hands and places it in ours.

4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

My faith does dictate to me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. It tells me that the Creator of the universe dotes on me. He is my defender, the author and finisher of my faith.
If I continue to mediate on this truth and keep it in my heart, I can successfully do as scripture tells me and cast down this thing that has so easily exalted itself above my knowledge of Christ.

Joshua 1: 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
These words, a love letter from the Creator of the Universe, to me his child, covers my heart with a joy and a love that can cover even my poor mind sight of me and allow me to see myself as My heavenly Father sees me.
