Socks come into the world with mates,
but, while doing the laundry, we find,
one mysteriously disappears,
leaving the other behind.
A sock that goes missing
creates fuss and bother,
leaving in the lurch
its significant other.
Lonely singles
yearning for mates,
mismatched styles,
nothing relates.
a knee sock or anklet
languishing in the drawer,
depressed and abandoned,
of no use anymore.
Then along comes the owner
with a sewing kit,
turning single socks into puppets
or handy dusting mitts.

Socks With You Is The Best, Baby
I rush through the doorway, and she is already there,
beautiful, waiting, smiling. Her two

UNSOCKED
T'was the night before day
folding laundry with care
I found bunches of socks
But no matching pair.
These stockings
Lost partners.
It's a modern day phenomena, that socks that come in pairs,
Get graded in the wash-pile into light and darker
by Jeff Vidrine
They pair off and are inseparable.
Geese mate for life.
Dissolving their union on a whim.
Socks, while inanimate, can not remain
After a 55 year love and hate relationship
With socks
I have abandoned them
Perhaps forever.
No more sliding down behind
