There are so many no no's you can say on a first date to make your date go screaming for the hills. A first date is like a try out, a introduction of one another. Sometimes we can introduce to much of ourselves in the wrong ways. So here is my top five countdown on what not to say on a first date.
5) Love: The L. word should not come out of your mouth at all in use toward your date. I love being around you, I love your personality and definitely I just met you but I love you already. This will get you a quick I'm going to the bathroom, you turn around and their running out the front door. If you want to compliment their personality etc.. replace the L. word with her little brother, Like. Saying I like your personality will get you a lot further than I love.
4) Sex: Now sex should not be a topic on a first date. It throws mix signals both ways, even the word sex on a first date is sometimes awkward to people. It makes it look like to your date that is all you want and you have a lot of it. If sex occurs on a first date it should just happen.
3) Ex lover: OK this one has a bit of grey lining in it. It is OK to speak on you ex but the one thing you just do not say is it was just a physical thing. This has got to be one of the most used sentences on first dates. This makes you look shallow, if the first date does go into a relationship it makes you partner self conscience. Speaking to deeply on your ex gives you a bad first impression. If the wrong words are chose you can look anywhere from a demon to Satan the worst demon ever.
2) Meet my parents: Now if your over twenty and going out on a first date you just don't say this. This makes it look like you two are committed. There are rules to this one though, you can not be in the middle of a date and ask your date to meet your parents. That is a red flag no matter how you put it. Picking up a date who lives or is visiting their parents house, OK it is respect to go to the door and meet the parents. To detour from a date to go and meet the parents, bad idea.
My number one I think you already know.
1) Marriage: Having a sentence start with on date we, us and marriage is a scary date. This can actually make your date fear for their life. Saying things like I can see us married or am I marriage material and my favorite how long will you date me before you marry me. Bad, bad, and bad, this makes you look like you desperately want to get married.
Well that is it my top five ruling on what not to say on a first date. These are words and sentences that swing for both men and women. With a first date you are trying to give a good first impression. Be yourself and voice you opinions and facts, but choose your words carefully. You can say something in a wrong way and give a bad self portrait inadvertently.
