WHISPER OF RAIN
The sun is slowly setting on my life,
I'm an older woman now, but still getting into strife.
I still work to pay my way,
To keep the ongoing debts at bay.
But I know that soon I'll need to realise,
That my time is up, I can no longer temporize.
I promise myself an old, old dream,
Of mountains and mist, of a clear running stream.
Of horses to work, to teach and to train,
Of a home with a lounge, an open fire, the whisper of rain.

You stole my heart, you took my name
I went along, I didn't know, it was a game
We had children, we were blessed
I found happiness,
Where does it go
Time
There seems so much of it
When you're young
Too much,
Can't wait to be older

Change is constant

We focus on trying to be perfect,
Forgetting,
Never remembering,
Never seeing,
