Poetry: Why should I?

Answer To All Unasked Questions

One and one is surely two,

But that's all I really know.

The walls are crumbling, the sky is falling,

And it's time for me to go.

Life has lost its reason,

I have lost my rhyme.

The clock is screaming, threatening, demanding, looming, ticking, writhing, howling

Reminders that I'm out of time.

Spectres, all, hurry through the hall.

Wraiths rant and rail in my mother's den.

Painful memories lurk behind each corner,

Rubbing hands together in glee as they wait, silently laughing within.

But the vein still stands stark on my trembling flesh.

Voices cry and taunt and seethe inside my head.

Should I go to save myself?

Or stay here, FOR YOU, and pray to be dead?
