Shakespeare is clear

Three years ago; was the first time that I had ever read any of William Shakespeare's works. I, myself, like to write poetry, and sometimes, I will write plays. When I first read Shakespeare; it was difficult to understand, but his plays and sonnets are so interesting that I wanted to gain knowledge of more. Shakespeare gave me great ideas, and he was my inspiration to write more. William Shakespeare is a wonderful writer because his sonnets and plays are superior to today's literature.

William Shakespeare is a genius with lots of recognition. He has provided us with examples to learn from; leaving us with tremendous influences on modern literature. (Mabillar, 2000) "Shakespeare is the most widely read author in English speaking countries. His works are secondly only to the Bible in popularity. 90% of American high school students must read some work by Shakespeare, and all British students in high school must read Shakespeare at some point." Shakespeare has proven himself to be brilliant. He may be our old history, but even so; he still deserves compliments and praise. Shakespeare is a blessing brought to history to be judged; whether he is chosen as a fine writer or not. He has written his words on paper; not knowing that he would ever be famous, without the worry of whether he was good enough or not. Shakespeare wrote, "Why, all the souls that were, were forfeit once;/ And He that might the vantage best have/ took/ Found out the remedy. How would you be,/ If He, which is the top of judgment, should/ But judge you as you are?" (Measure for Measure, Act 2, sc. 2, l. 73). His collections of sonnets are about a poet, a friend, and a lady in which they were both in love with. As in sonnet 128 he wrote, "Do I envy those jacks that nimble leap/ To kiss the tender inward of thy hand,/ Whilst my poor lips, which should that harvest reap" (l. 5-7).
William Shakespeare has judged his world as it was. He put it on paper and gave it a meaning. We are what we are. Shakespeare has a great way of writing about his situations, or his life. A lot of it is about everyone being equal, even though they are different. For instance, Shakespeare wrote in Shylock to Salarino, "I am a Jew. Hath not a Jews eyes? hath not a/ Jews hands, organs, dimensions, senses,/ affections, passions? fed with the same food,/ hurt with the same weapons, subject to the/ same diseases, headed by the same means,/ warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as/ a Christian is?"
