One of the must-haves in one's closet is a pair of fabulous jeans. Almost everyone you know owns a pair. And it's likely you know someone who has a pair of jeans that has been there for more than a decade. Women love jeans that flatter their figure, while men choose jeans for their comfort and versatility. A pair of jeans is considered a staple wardrobe for the young and even the young once.

There is a great demand for good quality jeans in the market. And with so many to choose from, the hunt for the perfect jeans seem to be a struggle for many. Buying those fabulously fitting jeans can be an art and mastering it can help you strut in style.

When buying jeans, it is always a must to know how much you are willing to spend on a good pair. There are good jeans selling at discounted or low price, and there are those designer jeans that cost a few bucks or more. Remember that a perfect pair of jeans need not be expensive.

Now that you have the budget for your jeans, the next thing to consider is getting that right fit. Denim jeans come in different sizes and designs, and you can get mystified with all the choices. The low-rise styles are now in demand, but does that mean you should have one, too? And then there are slim fit, baggy and flares. So what do you choose?

The key buying that perfect pair of jeans is to know your body shape. Those with hour-glass shaped body can flaunt it with low-rising, slim-fitted straight cut jeans. Pear shaped torso can benefit from buying dark washed and boot cut jeans. If you are a bit flat on the buttocks, buying denim jeans with embroidered, embellished or flapped back pockets can help create the illusion of curves and give you that needed lift.

Aside from your shape, knowing your size or height should also help you when buying that perfect denim. Capri jeans are a big no-no for people with short legs, but are perfect for accentuating those elongated legs. Petites should also stay away from boot cuts which make their legs look shorter. Instead go for the straight cut that are of the right length. You'll know you got the right length if when standing up the bottom does not skim the ground, as if you're sweeping it clean.

Denims also come in different designs and accessories. They can have embroideries, prints, crystals and button fly. For a rugged casual look, there are ripped style jeans that seem weathered and aged.

When choosing from among the different jeans take time fitting, before buying jeans. Sit, stand and walk in them to know which ones feel comfortable. Remember that jeans stretch when worn and shrink when washed. If needed, have you jeans altered to fit your size and height.

Buying jeans can be quite a breeze if you know the guidelines to choosing the perfect pair.
