It seems that how we come into this world, we do not arrive with a text book on how to find the meaning of Life. Every body is somebody's child.
Some are born with inflictions of ill health and disabilities. Many live on fighting their wars, and bravely baring their scars. Life for some is meaning they are definite souls with a purpose to display their inner strength, for adults still to learn. While some parents are born angels waiting to carry their child's burdens. Even parents are still reading the book of life, called 'How?'.
Yet another guardian may focus to find any meaning at all, in why their babe or child, was taken too soon. The same could be said of children who never had time to get to know their own; or time enough to share the experience. Dying or missing, can bring all kinds of trauma, with some questions never answered which give no meaning nor comfort. But empathy and support can shine a candle in darkened corners where the lights have gone out.
Some of us have many stories to tell; some very cuddly and warm, and others enough to make any hair stand on end. It may be we are adopted, fostered, or orphaned. So we cannot say, although we are all human, we have had the same choices of just where or how we arrive. Facts are we have landed, and we are not like a foal who must immediately stand up and walk. We have to go through the whole process of even reaching that stage.
Once having found our feet is a start on the road of life. Where to, depends on where we are. If we are fortunate enough to be guided by caring parents, it's a good start. If not, then we learn from the beginning that we are going to have to fight our way through the difficult path; aware it can be sometimes strewn with cruel inflictions. We become the warrior spirits. Some call us 'survivors.'
Either way we are growing up fast, into a more adult world of where we are heading. The strange thing is - if we a not an only child - that despite we belong to one family, we seem to have our individual personalities. Another is, one of us always has to be referred to as the 'black sheep'. Usually it's hard to fit in when the term 'difficult' is held against us. Distinctly diverse would be a better description!
Facts are, we all have to go somewhere in life, and some of us appear to have a good inbuilt sense of direction of what we want - or hope for - from an early stage. But many sign posts can leave many floundering as to which one to follow. Others try several before
