The personal advantages of taking public transportation are many and varied. It is good to think about the personal advantages of this primarily because the global benefits are at times intimidating and sometimes too opaque. So, what are these personal advantages to using public transportation?
First, the cost of public transportation will almost invariably be lower than the cost of owning and using one's own vehicle. Consider the fact that you must pay for insurance, gas, often a loan payment, and upkeep. For public transportation, like a bus or train, you can often get low-cost montly or seasonal passes. So the personal financial benefit is great from using public transportation.
Secondly, consider the things you can do while riding public transportation. You can people watch, get through reading material, sleep, or even meditate. These times can be nice, quiet moments where we can start our day with our minds and hearts calm.
A final benefit to using public transportation is that many times we need to walk to a station or stop. This walking is good exercise, which is good for us in many ways. Exercising in the morning gets the heart going and provides some wonderful oxygen to jumpstart your day. Exercising at the end of the work day helps relieve stress and thus aids in the unwinding process that will benefit your family life.
So, truly, there are some nice personal benefits of taking public transportation.
