Fund-Raising bake sale ideas

Need to raise fundraising dollars? How about a cupcake sale? Sound too simple? Well it is, and yet it is a lucrative method for meeting your fundraising goals. It is also a great family project that can involve the whole family! Your kids will love it too!

Every body is tightening their belts and cutting back these days on what they spend on extras! Fundraising goals are feeling the pinch, and, are no exception as a victim of a horrible economy. If you're a parent, or belong to a church group or organization , you already know the difficulty of coming up with ideas every year to meet the ever growing financial needs.

A cupcake sale is an easy and profitable way to make your fundraising dreams a reality! Each member of the organization will be responsible for providing a determined amount of cupcakes for the sale. By having a cupcake sale, you will have an opportunity to take orders ahead of the sale, and offer delivery by the order takers.

The cupcakes will be pre-packed. For example, go to the local party goods store, or restaurant supply outlet if you live near one, and purchase a case of plastic bakery containers. They are nominal in cost, and will be the packaging for your cupcakes.

Have the bakers drop off the cupcakes the day before, or a couple of hours before the sale. Have a crew ready to pack 6 cupcakes into each box. You can sell each box for 3 to 5 dollars. Pre-orders can also be taken, and that way on the day of the sale your will have those orders set aside for pre-payers.

There is something for everyone to do, and there are many ways to be involved. You will need people to: organize and initiate order forms and administrative duties. Other volunteers will be needed for pre selling and tallying. Keep these people charge of pre orders for pick up. Jobs will be need to be filled on the clean up crew. There will be a need to have a money crew and handle to cash exchanges. Don't forget to get the kids involved in the baking and the sign making! Incidentally, everyone should bake the cupcakes. The more you have the more you will sell.

If you run out of cupcakes, get the money and take orders. There are bound to be some members that could not bring their cupcakes the day of the sale, for one reason or another, and they can be in charge of these sales.

This is a fantastic and easy way to make money for your organization. It is also a terrific annual fundraiser to do yearly. People will be looking forward to it all year long! Afer all, who in their right mind would want to miss the annual cupcake sale?
